Tecnomeccanica, company designing and supplying tea bag machinery, joined ACMA

ACMA developed its first flow packing machine, SP2. In 2009 the production was moved to Schio (Vicenza), known as “flow packing valley”.

CORNIANI, leader in the manufacturing of bottle filling and capping machines, joined ACMA.

Acma joined G.D S.p.A, leader in the tobacco manufacturing and confectionary products. After that acquisition, G.D decided to transfer its confectionary division to ACMA

ACMA designed and launched its first detergent powder filling machine

ACMA developed numerous packaging machines for both food and chemical products, one of the most significant being the original Acma 721, the first packaging machine for soap bars.

Bruto Carpigiani, one of the most important Bolognese designers in confectionery sector, introduced the Z-shaped wheel, a device that transformed a continuous rotating movement into an intermittent one, used in the revolutionary Acma 722 candy wrapper.

ACMA was founded by Mr. Gaetano Barbieri and went on to become a milestone for the Italian automatic packaging machine industry
